Basic Functionalities
- Timer function
The Hotspot can be programmed to transfer different files at different times of day. For example, a restaurant may send a different file in the morning, at the time breakfast is served, and a different file for the lunch hour or dinner. - Transmission of new content each time
After the successful transmission of a certain file, the Bluetooth Hotspot can inform the central database of the system to prevent the transmission of the same file to the same device. This function ensures that the user will not be bothered by multiple receipt of the same message, as we know that this could annoy potential customers and cause undesired results. - Transmission of random files from a certain folder
Bluetooth Hotspots can be programmed to transmit a random file from a file folder. This function ensures that a user who often visits a certain place will receive a different file each time. If this should happen, the central database system will prevent the transmission of the same file to the same device over and over again. - Automatic transmission of messages to specific device groups
It is possible to transmit a certain file to a predetermined group of devices (e.g. Send messages only to Nokia phones or PDAs or Laptops) or even only to a specific device. - Exclude specific groups of devices and equipment
Special rules can be set for groups of devices or specific devices. As a result, we can program the Hotspots to exclude a group of devices belonging to employees working at the hotspot’s area. - Request for download – 2Way communication
This application allows the user to ask the Bluetooth Hotspot for files by sending a vcard. The user must create a vcard and send it to the Hotspot via Bluetooth. - Forwarding files via e-mail
If the user wants to forward a file via email, he has to create a new contact in the Phone Book, declaring the email and typing in the keyword sendmail.
After sending this contact to the Hotspot via Bluetooth, the email forwarder of the device is activated and the user can now send the file he wants to be forwarded. An external SMTP server is required to transmit the email. - Vouchers
System administrators can use this service to create instant win contests. All winning vouchers should be prepared and placed in a certain file of the Bluetooth Hotspot. A non-winning voucher can be placed in a different file of the device. We determine the duration of the contest and the Bluetooth Hotspot will share the vouchers equally between the users who are in the same area. For example, as users enter a shopping mall they will be informed that a contest is being conducted via Bluetooth, They will then be invited to activate their Bluetooth device. After activating, they will receive a voucher via Bluetooth that will tell them if they’ve won or not. The winners will receive a voucher which will direct them to a specific store in the shopping center to receive their prize, while the vouchers that do not win could include advertisements of the store that are organizing the contest. - Alerts
Bluetooth Hotspots can be programmed to send calendar information to mobile phones in the area. On the day of a special event, the user will be alerted via his mobile phone. For example, the customers of a large bookstore can receive a Bluetooth message that will inform them about the date and time of a book presentation. This information will be stored in the memory of their device and when the date comes, all the users will receive an alert about the presentation, wherever they are. - Providing Internet
Bluetooth Hotspots are made to provide internet to compatible devices around them. Users will first need to unlock this feature by sending the keyword "unlock". - Magic Beamers
Magic Beamers are scheduled to offer internet to compatible devices that are close. Users first need to unlock this feature by sending the keyword "unlock". - Different campaigns through the same device
MagicBeamers have the opportunity to forward multiple files in order toperform different campaigns in the same area. This happens by linking several Bluetooth Dongles in the same Magic Beamer, each of whichperforms a different campaign, as shown in the picture below. - Reports
Bluetooth Hotspots are equipped with reporting tools, which can be used to provide detailed statistical data regarding the time and place of files’ transmission and receipt from detected devices. - OBEX Data Transfer Report
This report gives system administrators valuable information about the sent and received content. The raw log file is also provided for further use if necessary.
Push Campaigns
Bluetooth Hotspots transmit information and advertising messages to mobile phones, PDAs, laptops and other devices that support Bluetooth technology, like i-pods or cameras.
The content is transmitted through Bluetooth 2.0 ™ technology, which ranges up to 100 meters, enabling the sending/receiving of information to and from adjacent devices.
Push Campaigns

When a user enters a Bluetooth area, depending on the type of phone he owns, he will receive the following motivating message. (Entering the pin is not necessary for all mobile phones. It depends on the security settings of each user).
